  • Billy Bricks Restaurant celebrated 20 years of serving pizza and dishes across Chicagoland yesterday as it marked a milestone with seven locations. CEO Ric Gurber told ABC 7 Eyewitness News that loyal fans helped build the restaurant's success.  ABC7 Chicago

EDUCATION NEWS

  • The Naperville School District 203 Board of Education appointed Alexandra Morrow and Erin Rodriguez on March 10 as the new principals at Meadow Glens and Naper elementary schools this fall—Morrow is a veteran staffer and Rodriguez comes from IPSD 204—and they will replace the current principals retiring at the end of this school year.  Naperville News 17

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Metra signed a five-year lobbying contract in April 2024 that can pay its firm up to $4.65M to work on a looming $771M budget gap which could lead to service cuts and fare hikes when federal COVID relief funds run out next year. Michael Gillis said the agency scaled back its internal legislative team and now uses one contract to coordinate funding appeals with state lawmakers — officials say the move helped secure competitive grants.  Naperville Sun

SPORTS NEWS

  • Gino Zagorac, a senior pitcher and Wichita State commit at Benet, sits in the front row to cheer on his school’s teams—he is known for his strong support at games. Last season he had a 4-1 record with a 4.08 ERA and 48 strikeouts, and he will use his fastball and cutter this season to help his team win—his efforts boost the spirit of his teammates.  Naperville Sun
