Pretrial release was denied for Devante Gunn, a 32-year-old Chicago man who tried to grab a police officer’s gun during a high-speed chase in Naperville on Friday night—he now faces four misdemeanor counts and felony charges and is set to appear in court on March 31.

DuPage County leaders have outlined plans to boost affordable housing while a nonprofit begins work on a Glen Ellyn apartment project that will add nearly four dozen new units, more than half of which will serve as supportive housing for people with disabilities—officials are also considering a land bank and trust fund to support future projects.
