- ➤ Pretrial release was denied for Devante Gunn, a 32-year-old Chicago man who tried to grab a police officer’s gun during a high-speed chase in Naperville on Friday night—he now faces four misdemeanor counts and felony charges and is set to appear in court on March 31. Daily Herald

- ➤ DuPage County leaders have outlined plans to boost affordable housing while a nonprofit begins work on a Glen Ellyn apartment project that will add nearly four dozen new units, more than half of which will serve as supportive housing for people with disabilities—officials are also considering a land bank and trust fund to support future projects. - ➤ Naperville begins its annual Arbor Day tree sale on Monday with 30 types of trees priced from $45 to $150— the four-week online sale runs until April 16—or until all trees are sold. ABC7 Chicago
