About this event
Join Fiber Arts Club in collaboration with One Book, One College for a hands-on Prayer Arrow Workshop in celebration of Native American Heritage Month.
The specific ceremonial “prayer arrow” originates from the Huichol people of Mexico. Participants will be provided with materials to create their own prayer arrows and learn more about traditions of Indigenous People.
This event connects to our One Book, One College selection, There There by Tommy Orange, which explores Native identity, community, culture, and the complexities of contemporary Indigenous life.
Listed by Waubonsee Community College (Localist), gathered by the Naperville events calendar.
