About this event

⛏️ Minecraft STEAM Lab: Creative, Redstone & Coding Camp!

Design epic architecture, build mechanical machines, and automate worlds with code!

Step beyond basic survival and transform your child's passion for Minecraft into real-world computer science and engineering literacy! In this high-energy, full-day camp at CodeForce, builders explore the three core pillars of advanced Minecraft mastery: large-scale Creative World Architecture , mechanical Redstone Circuit Engineering , and automated MakeCode / Python Coding .

Whether your child is an imaginative builder or an aspiring software programmer, our expert mentors guide them through hands-on logic, spatial design, and computational thinking in our dedicated lab!

📅 Quick Event Details

• Date: Friday, Nov 27th (Black Friday)

• Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Full Day)

• Ages: 6 and up

• Cost: $75.00

• Location: CodeForce (25 w. Jefferson St., Oswego, IL)

🥪 Food & Refreshments

• Lunch: Campers should bring a nut-free packed lunch and a refillable water bottle.

• Allergy Notice: Please note any dietary restrictions during registration.

🧠 What Campers Learn & Build

• Architectural World Design: Explore 3D geometry, proportion, lighting, and palette harmony to craft immersive environments rather than simple block piles.

• Electrical Logic Gates: Understand how Redstone mirrors real electrical engineering—learning NOT, AND, and OR logic gates to create automated sorting systems, hidden doors, and defense traps.

• Algorithmic Automation: Learn fundamental computer science concepts (loops, conditionals, and spatial X/Y/Z coordinates) by programming an automated robotic Agent to excavate and build complex structures instantaneously.

• Collaborative Server Problem-Solving: Work in small teams on a shared local server to plan blueprints, divide engineering tasks, and debug broken mechanisms in real time.

🎒 Take-Home Artifacts

• Custom 3D-Printed Minecraft Token: A take-home pixelated tool or block charm printed live in the CodeForce print farm.

• Code Repository / Project Files: World export files and coding scripts so kids can continue building and modifying their projects at home.

• Official CodeForce Tech Accreditation: Proof of completed engineering milestones (Redstone Logic & Agent Coding).

🧠 Why Parents Love CodeForce

At CodeForce, we turn screen time into valuable engineering literacy. Guided by experienced tech mentors in a collaborative lab environment, campers move from passive entertainment consumers to active software designers and mechanical builders.

Important Note: This camp is an independent STEAM learning event hosted by CodeForce and is not an official Minecraft® product, nor is it approved by or associated with Mojang® or Microsoft®.

🎟️ Reserve Your Child's Station Today!

Lab seats and workstations are strictly capped to ensure small mentor-to-student squads and dedicated debugging support.

Listed by CodeForce (Wix Events), gathered by the Naperville events calendar.
