Triple Play: Compost Pumpkins, Shred Confidential Documents & Recycle Electronics

About this event

Give your jack-o-lanterns a second life after Halloween by bringing them to Will County and Lewis University's Triple Play event on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 9 AM to 12 noon, at Lewis University (1 University Parkway, Romeoville). Meet us in the "W" parking lot to play a fun onsite game with your pumpkins and gourds before leaving them for composting after the event. They will be turned into a nutrient-rich soil supplement to help grow new plants, maybe even new pumpkins!

Residents can also bring confidential documents for onsite shredding (limit 3 bank boxes per vehicle) and electronics for recycling (limit 3 TVs per vehicle). No appointment is required. This event is free for all Will County residents— read more about it on the Will County Green website .
