About this event

Join us to discuss The Gales of November: The Untold Story of the Edmund Fitzgerald by John U. Bacon. On November 10, 1975, the freighter Edmund Fitzgerald sank with all hands in the midst of a massive storm on Lake Superior, a shocking loss that inspired a popular ballad, "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald." Fifty years after the sinking, John U. Bacon looks back on the tragedy, exploring the lives of the Fitzgerald's crew, their families, and the Great Lakes shipping communities to which they belonged. Copies of the book will be available at the Circulation Desk one month before the meeting date. Ebook and e-audiobook copies are available through the Palace Project app with your Frankfort Public Library District card.
