About this event

Are you between 18–25 and want to meet new people without it feeling awkward?

Come join us for a fun and relaxing afternoon at Corner Bakery Cafe on La Grange Road!

We'll spend the afternoon enjoying food, playing classic board games, having conversations, and getting to know each other in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

Unlike our other activity-based Meetups, this event is all about taking things easy, making new friends, and enjoying each other's company.

No pressure to be super social! You can join conversations, play games, or simply relax and enjoy your time with everyone.

If you're thinking, “What if I don't know anyone?” don't worry about that. A lot of people who join our events come solo, and I'll be there to help everyone feel welcomed and included.

What We'll Do

*Meet together at Corner Bakery Cafe

• Introduce ourselves and get to know each other

*Play classic board games and card games

• Enjoy food, drinks, and casual conversations

*Laugh, relax, and make new connections

• Spend a fun afternoon together without a strict schedule

I'll bring a few games for everyone to enjoy! You're also welcome to bring a favorite board game if you'd like.

Food & Drinks Corner Bakery Cafe offers a variety of food and drinks, including sandwiches, soups, salads, pastries, coffee, and other beverages.

Everyone is welcome to purchase whatever they'd like.

Food and drinks are optional and at your own expense.

There's no admission fee for this Meetup. However, we ask that everyone be considerate of the café and its seating arrangements.

We'll keep our games and conversations respectful of other customers.

• A positive attitude and willingness to meet new people

*Money or a payment method if you'd like to purchase food or drinks

• Your favorite board game or card game, if you'd like

I'll bring games for everyone, so you don't need to bring anything extra!

RSVP & Waitlist Policy

This Meetup is limited to 6 attendees to keep the group small and allow everyone to interact comfortably.

Please RSVP only if you're genuinely interested and available to attend.

If all six spots are filled, you'll be placed on the waitlist.

If you're on the waitlist, please keep the following in mind:

*Being on the waitlist does not guarantee a spot.

• You'll need to wait until someone cancels or an opening becomes available.

*If a spot opens, you may be moved from the waitlist to the attending list.

• You may be accepted as late as the day before the event, depending on cancellations.

*Please check your Meetup notifications and RSVP status regularly.

• Do not attend unless you've been officially moved to the attending list.

If you're already attending but can no longer make it, please update your RSVP as soon as possible.

This gives someone on the waitlist an opportunity to attend.

After the Event

The Meetup will officially end at 4:00 PM.

If anyone would like to continue hanging out afterward, you're welcome to do so, as long as the café can accommodate us.

Anything after 4:00 PM is completely optional and will not be part of the official Meetup.

• Maximum of 6 attendees

*Please RSVP only if you can attend and update your RSVP if plans change

• If you need to leave early or step away, please let the host know

*The Meetup is scheduled from 2:00–4:00 PM

• Our exact meeting spot inside Corner Bakery Cafe will be shared in the event chat on the day of the Meetup
